CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Johnson C. Smith University men's and women's cross-country teams, under the direction of new head coach Carol Thomas, have announced their schedule for the upcoming 2022 season.
 
Last season, the Golden Bulls finished eighth at the 2021 CIAA Cross Country Championships. The women's placed eighth in the conference championships, as well.  
 
JCSU will open competition at the Adidas Cross Country Challenge in Raleigh, NC on Sept. 16. JCSU will take part in the Queen City Invite on Sept. 23 hosted by Queens University. 
On Oct. 1, both programs are scheduled to appear in the Great American HBCU Challenge in Raleigh, NC and then the Roanoke XC Invitational hosted by Roanoke College (Oct. 14).

The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Conference (CIAA) Championships will be on Oct. 27 in Salem, Va. The NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championships will follow on Nov. 5 in Lock Haven, Pa., while the NCAA National Championships will be held in Seattle, WA. on Dec. 2.
