ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Johnson C. Smith University women's volleyball team fell to Clinton College, 3-1 in a non-conference match on Thursday evening inside Martin Gymnasium. The Bears won in four sets, 25-23, 25-20, 12-25 and 27-25.
With the loss, JCSU drops to 1-2 on the season, while Clinton improves to 3-6 on the year.
The Golden Bulls were edged by the Bears 46-34 in kills and a hitting percentage of .088 compared to JCSU's .059. JCSU topped in service aces 10-6 and turned in a 13-7 serving error ratio comparison.
Daivez Bell led the Gold and Blue with 11 kills and six blocks, while Carmi Goodwin added nine kills and
Moriah Wheeler tallied six.
Yasmine Cannon topped the Golden Bulls with 24 assists.
Keyana Brown registered 18 digs, while
Monique Reid and Cannon each had 14 apiece.
