JCSU Rookies Earn CIAA Weekly Awards

Ezekiel Cannedy averaged 16.5 points on 50 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent from three in a pair of games last week for the Golden Bulls. The freshman scored 21 points with two rebounds, two assists, and a steal against Shaw. In that game against the Bears, the Kings Mountain, NC native shot 8-of-14 on field goals and 5-of-10 from deep. In a game against Elizabeth City State, the six-foot-two guard finished with 12 points, four assists, and three rebounds.

(Fr., 6-1 Forward - Coppell, TX)
India Howard averaged 14.7 rebounds and 8.7 points over three games last week for the Golden Bulls. In a league game against Elizabeth City State, the freshman recorded 22 rebounds, a conference-high for most rebounds in a single game this season. The Coppell, TX native also scored 12 points and logged a season-high 4 steals against the Vikings. Against Shaw, the six-foot-one forward had 11 rebounds and nine points and Howard also had 11 boards and five points in a non-conference contest against Francis Marion.
