Golden Bulls Volleyball Open Season at UVA Wise Cavalier Classic

CHARLOTTE -  The Johnson C. Smith University volleyball team officially open their 2023 season with four matches in the inaugural Cavalier Classic hosted by UVA Wise at the David J. Prior Convocation Center on September 1-2.
 
JCSU is scheduled to meet Concord, Lees-McRae, Davis & Elkins and host UVA Wise. 
 
This year's tournament will serve as the first-ever establishment of UVA Wise's Cavalier Classic. Tournament format will consist of the five universities all facing each other in a round robin format.

The Golden Bulls were voted 10th out of 13 teams in the 2023 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Conference Preseason Poll announced Monday afternoon by the league office. Atop the preseason poll sits Shaw, Elizabeth City State and Fayetteville State as rankings one through three, respectively.
