JCSU Women's Cross Country place 5th in Season Opener

CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University Golden Bulls women's cross-country team competed in their first collegiate meet of the season, in the LC XC Invite hosted by Livingstone College on Friday.

52 participants from JCSU, Fayetteville St., St. Augustine's, USC Aiken, Johnson & Wales (N.C.), Virginia Union, Coker and host school Livingstone took to the Salisbury Community Park on Friday morning for the women's 5K.
 
JCSU placed fifth overall in the team standings out of eight. The team ran the 5K in under 30 minutes, with a team average of 27 minutes and 43 seconds.
