Men's Basketball Begin Divisional Play; Host WSSU on Saturday

CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball team will begin southern division play as they host the Rams of Winston-Salem State University on Saturday, Jan. 13.

Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m. inside historic Brayboy Gymnasium.

Last time these two teams met, the Rams and Golden Bulls split the two match-ups last season. The Rams won the first match-up 69-60, and the Golden Bulls won the second match-up 74-71.
 
Winston-Salem State University (11-3, 5-0 CIAA) are led in scoring by Jaylen Alston with 17.1 points per game

The Golden Bulls 9-4, 4-2 CIAA is led by Avery Huggins, averaging 18.5 points a game, followed by Ezekiel Cannedy averaging 12.2 points per game. The Golden Bulls are scoring 83.6 points a game.
