Golden Bulls Sweep Carolina University 3-0

CHARLOTTE – The Johnson C. Smith University women's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 win (25-23, 25-22 and 25-23) over Carolina University on Tuesday evening. The non-conference win improved the Golden Bulls record to 2-3 overall and the Bruins drops to 7-5 on the year.

Essence-Rain Peterson lead the Golden Bulls offensively with 14 kills and one ace. Defensively, Maci Murrell recorded 14 digs and three assist and  Yasmine Cannon dished out 16 assists on the night. 

JCSU returns to action this weekend in the CIAA Round-Up hosted by Winston-Salem State. The Golden Bulls will take on Bluefield State on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 8 a.m., followed by a 3 p.m., matchup with Virginia State and on Sunday, Oct. 6 a 3 p.m. match up with Elizabeth City State.
