CHARLOTTE - For the first time in 37 years there will be a new face pacing the sidelines for the Golden Bulls men's basketball team. Interim head men's basketball coach Antwain Banks leads the Gold and Blue into action on Sunday, October 27 in Chapel Hill, N.C., inside the Dean Dome as JCSU takes on the Tar Heels of North Carolina. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
The game has a family history as Hubert Davis, Sr., the father of head coach Hubert Davis, Jr., played his college ball at Johnson C. Smith, 1965-69.
JCSU will take the floor for the first time against UNC with five newcomers and 10 returners as the Golden Bulls look to piece it together.
