Betsey Burnett scored a career-high 30 points, as the Golden Bulls defeated Savannah State University in overtime 75-71 in the CIAA-SIAC Challenge.
Burnett netted a career-high 30 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field. Burnett went 1 of 3 from behind the arc and went 13 for 17 from the line.
Desiree Smith added 11 points and finished with seven rebounds.
For the contest, JCSU shot just 40 percent from the floor and hit 3 of 13 from behind the arc. At the charity stripe, the Golden Bulls shot 61 percent shooting (26-of-42).
The Golden Bulls will return to action Wednesday, Nov. 13 as face the Catawba College. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
