WILMINGTON, Del. - The Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball team held on for a 64–63 victory over Lincoln University (Pa.) on Monday night at Chase Fieldhouse in Wilmington, Delaware, securing a CIAA cross division road win.
JCSU built a nine-point halftime lead, shooting 48 percent from the field in the first half.
Trey Pettigrew led all scorers with 18 points, while
Jared Davis added 13 and
Javian Cannady chipped in 11.
Jamauri Bryant anchored the paint with a team-high 10 rebounds as the Golden Bulls scored 40 points in the paint.
Lincoln second-half push, outscored JCSU 39–31.
Johnson C. Smith finished the night shooting 48.1 percent from the field and improved to 4–6 overall and 1-1 in CIAA play.
