CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The No. 6 seed in the South the Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith women's basketball team will take on the North No. 3 seed Virginia Union University Panther during the opening round of the 2026 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 4:30 p.m., inside the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, Md.
 
Last time these two team met in the CIAA tournament, was in back in February of 2023 when JCSU defeated the Panthers 72-54.
 
This matchup will be broadcast exclusively on ESPN+ (https://plus.espn.com/), with the championship game also being shown on ESPNU.
