JCSU women's basketball on the road to Wingate

Charlotte, N.C. – The Johnson C. Smith women's basketball team will look for their third win of the 2019-20 season on Wednesday, Nov. 13 when the Golden Bulls travel to Wingate University for a nonconference tilt with the Bulldogs.

Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Cuddy Arena.

The Golden Bulls (2-0) are coming off two wins over Slippery Rock and Gannon in the CIAA-PSAC Challenge over the weekend. Emani Clough scored 22 points and grabbed one rebound in the win against Slippery Rock.

On the young season, Smith is averaging 76.0 points per game, shooting 49.6 percent from the field and 58 percent from the free-throw line as a team. Defensively, the Golden Bulls are averaging 9.5 rebounds per outing.

The Wingate University Bulldogs had six different players score at least eight points Saturday afternoon, picking up a 68-59 victory over Georgia College on day two of the SAC-PBC Challenge hosted by Anderson University. The Bulldogs improve to 1-1 on the year.

Following Wednesday's clash with WU, the Golden Bulls will return home to host Mount Olive College on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 3 p.m.
