Women's Basketball opens 2019-20 season in CIAA-PSAC Challange

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball team will be tested right from the start as the Golden Bulls will open their 2019-20 season with a pair of game in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference/Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Challenge inside of the R.L. Vaughan Center, November 8-9, hosted by Elizabeth City State University, in Elizabeth City State N.C.

JCSU will entertain Gannon University and Slippery Rock University from the PSAC, over the two-day tournament.

Smith will challenge Slippery Rock on Friday at 4 p.m., and then play Gannon on Saturday at 6 p.m.

The Golden Bulls will look improve upon a 16-13 overall record and 13-5 mark in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) last year and will do so with a roster that features four returners.

Following the conference challenge, Smith will continue their season on the road at Wingate on Nov. 13, before returning home on Nov. 16 to face Mount Olive.
