Golden Bulls Head to Fayetteville State Saturday

CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University football team will make its way to Fayetteville State on Saturday, Oct. 16th in its second road game of the 2021 season. 
  
The Golden Bulls enters Saturday's contest with a 0-3 mark in the CIAA and 0-1 in the Southern Division.
 
JCSU (0-5 overall) is coming off a 26-12 loss to Winston-Salem State last weekend. Freshman quarterback Ollie Shepard went six of nine passing in his start behind center. Running Back Davion Nelson tallied 64 yards on the ground, while wide receiver Reggie Bryanthad 10 catches for 106 yards. 

Fayetteville State (4-1 overall, 3-0 CIAA) had a lot to overcome in a key divisional matchup against Shaw (3-3, 2-1) as special teams' play helped the Broncos prevail 15-12 over the Bears.

Kickoff is for 2 p.m.
