Fuquay-Varina, NC - Johnson C. Smith quarterback Damien Mazil has been named HBCU National Player of the Week. He completed 12-of-18 passes for 301 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions and rushed for 29 yards and a touchdown in leading the Golden Bulls to a 49-6 victory over Shaw. His touchdown passes were for 45, 24,57, and 13 yards and his touchdown run was for eight yards.
