JCSU Falls in five to Claflin

Box Score CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University women's volleyball was up two games to none before falling in five sets against Claflin University in a battle of Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division action from Brayboy Gymnasium Thursday night. The Lady Golden Bulls won the first two sets, but the Panthers took the next three sets.

Camri Goodwin had a strong showing for the Golden as she finished with a match-high 17 kills on a .113 attack percentage to go along with 14 digs. Yasmine Cannon recorded another double-digit assist outing with 42 assist and 14 digs.

The Golden Bulls will travel to Salisbury to face the Blue Bears of Livingstone College on Monday, Oct. 17.
