Golf placed sixth in SAS HBCU Invitational

CHARLOTTE – The Johnson C. Smith University golf team finished sixth among Division II teams in the at the SAS HBCU Invitational in Cary, N.C., over the weekend.

The Golden Bulls finished the two-day event with a team total of 961 on the par 70, 6,284-yard course.

Miles College won the event with an 853-score followed by Virginia Union with a 668 score and Livingstone (869). Savannah State placed fourth with a 874, and Winston-Salem State finished 938.

JCSU's Isaiah Nickerson was tied for 11th in the individual standings.  Isaiah Trollinger (238) finished 23rd.

Other JCSU participants include Cameron Speights (242-24th), Dylan Mauricette (257 – 28th), and Jordan Draper (264 – 29th).
