JCSU Football begins CIAA Play

CHARLOTTE – Johnson C. Smith University Football team (1-1) will begin Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) cross division play, as they welcome back to the CIAA Bluefield State University on Saturday, September 16 at Irwin Belk Complex. 
This game will be the conference opener for both teams.  
When: Saturday, Sept. 16 at 6:00 p.m.

The contest marks the 3rd meeting between the two programs, the last meeting occurred in 2023 with Bluefield State winning 35-34 in overtime. 

Last weekend the Golden Bulls fell to Walsh University, 14-9 in the Golden Bulls home opener. JCSU looks to redeem themselves with CIAA play as they are sitting in first place in the division. 

Bluefield State University (1-1) fell in a non-conference matchup against Emory & Henry College 37-14 on Saturday.
