WBB stumbles to Livingstone 59-45

Box Score CHARLOTTE - Two Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball players scored in double figures but it wasn't enough as the Blue Bears of Livingstone College defeated the Golden Bulls 59-45 in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division contest Wednesday evening inside Brayboy Gym. 
  
The loss dropped the Golden Bulls to 12-12 overall, and 6-5 in the Southern Division while Livingstone is now 6-15 overall and 3-8 in the Division.  
 
Ciara Harris led the Golden Bulls with 17 points while Kelis Carmon scored 13.
 
The Golden Bulls had a tough night from the field, shooting 29-percent (14-48), and shot 14 percent from behind the arc 2 for 14. From the free throw JCSU shot 68 percent.

Thalia Carter led the way for LC with 16 points, while Morgan Kelson added 12 points.

JCSU will finish the regular season and honor four senior on Saturday, February 24, as they host the Panthers of Claflin University. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m
