Women’s Volleyball Hosts Fayetteville State on Wednesday

CHARLOTTE – The Johnson C. Smith University women's volleyball team will look to get back into the win column on Wednesday, Sept. 25 when the Golden Bulls play host to the visiting Fayetteville State Broncos inside Historic Brayboy Gymnasium. First serve is slated for 6 p.m.

The Golden Bulls (1-1, 0-1) suffered a five-set loss to Claflin on Wednesday Tuesday (Sept. 18) on the road. On the evening, JCSU hit .168 compared to Claflin .114, although both teams accounted over 180 total attacks.

Eliana Moultrie led the Golden Bulls offense with 21 kills while Essence Rain-Peterson added 19. Yasmine Cannon finished with 18 assists, while Moultrie collected 21 digs.

Fayetteville State faced a challenging match on the road, falling to the Shaw Bears in three sets at C.C. Spalding Gymnasium on Thursday. This defeat brings Fayetteville State's record to 5-1 overall and 1-1 in CIAA play.
