CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball team returns to the court on Thursday, Jan. 29 as they travel to Winston-Salem State University for a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division clash. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. inside the C.E. Gaines Center.
The Golden Bulls are 7-9 overall, 4-5 in the CIAA and 1-1 in the Southern division after defeating Shaw, 50-42.
WSSU stands 16-2 overall, 7-1 in the CIAA and 2-1 in the Southern Division. The Rams 16 game win streak was snapped by Broncos of Fayetteville State 72-57 on Tuesday.
LaNiya Sims is the Golden Bulls leading scorer, averaging 12.2 points per game while WSSU is led by Maia Charles contributes 14.7 points. Â
