Golf finishes fifth at CIAA Northern Division Championship

CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith golf team finished fifth at the CIAA Southern Division Championship held at the Charlotte Country Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Golden Bulls shot an 85-84 over the par 71 course.

Dylan Mauricette led JCSU carding a 85-84 in the two-day event.

Fayetteville State was the winner (595) with Virginia Union claiming second (605)

Livingstone placed third (611), Virginia State was fourth (651) and Winston-Salem State finished sixth (722). Elizabeth City State University came in seventh (763).

Next, the Golden Bulls head to Raleigh, N.C., for the CIAA Northern Division Tournament, which is set for April 2-4.
